Organized by Navarang in association with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the National Children’s Theatre Festival brings a diverse range of children’s plays from across India to Palakkad. From December 26th to 29th, 2024, this festival offers an incredible opportunity for children to witness different cultures and form connections with peers from various states.

Provide a brief synopsis of the play and a detailed scene-wise synopsis that captures the essence of the performance. - Director’s Note:
Include a note from the director highlighting the vision and unique elements of the play. - Photographs of the Play:
Upload photographs that showcase key scenes and moments from your production. - Recent Production Details:
Provide information about recent performances, including dates and locations where the play has been showcased. - Performance Video:
Upload a link to a full performance video hosted on YouTube or Google Drive. - Technical Requirements:
Mention any specific technical needs or support required for your performance during the festival. - Safety Protocols:
Ensure that all participants adhere to safety protocols, especially considering the age group involved. - Parental Consent:

Children’s theatre groups from across India are eligible to participate. Plays should primarily involve participants up to 16 years of age.
2. What is the maximum number of participants allowed per group?
A maximum of 15 persons per group is permitted. Please ensure your team does not exceed this limit.
3. Will accommodation be provided?
Yes, accommodation for up to 15 persons per group will be provided during your scheduled stay in Palakkad. This includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
4. What should be included in the application submission?
Your application should include:
- A completed application form with all required details.
- Synopsis and scene-wise synopsis of the play.
- Director’s note.
- Photographs of the play showcasing key scenes.
- Recent production details, including dates and locations of past performances.

5. What are the safety protocols?
All participants must adhere to safety protocols, particularly considering the age group involved. Specific guidelines will be shared closer to the festival dates.

9. Can additional members accompany the group?
Accommodation and meal provisions are strictly for the 15 members per group. Additional members will need to make their own arrangements.
10. Are there any specific rules for performance content?
Plays should be suitable for a children’s audience and must not contain any inappropriate language or themes.
11. How long can each performance be?
Each performance should be no less than 45 minutes and no more than 70 minutes.
12. Will there be any interaction with the audience?
Yes, there will be an interaction with the audience after each performance, like an open forum. This is a great opportunity for feedback and engagement.
13. What is expected regarding parental consent?
All participants must have parental consent to join the festival. Be prepared to provide proof of consent if requested.
14. Will there be any workshops or interactive sessions during the festival?
